Thanks to one of the reporters behind ReporTwitters, I learned about the free live blogging software, Coveritlive.
Also, ReporTwitters, which currently has 80 plus reporters posting news via Twitter, is seeking more people to join their forces. Check out their blog.

Jeff Jarvis of BuzzMachine receives pithy commentary from various journalists on the topic, “A diploma and a blog. The topic broadens to journalism job applicants who write blogs.
Jarvis, an associate professor and director of the interactive journalism program at the City University of New York’s new Graduate School of Journalism, has an interesting and […]

Founder and CEO of Technorati, David Sifry, created Hoosgot, a handy resource for all needs relating to blogs.
Sifry says, “Hoosgot (pronounced “who’s got…”) is a simple way to ask (other bloggers) who’s got what you’re looking for. … It’s meant to give you a place to send the requests for all of those things […]

it seems apparent that I would like to revise its focus my mission statement.
Just a bit.
This blog has always been about journalism and how this field is, and needs, to continue moving to the internet to maintain readership, at the minimum. Readership has become more important with the […]

For awhile now, I’ve wanted to write about Gothamist, an online news community focusing only on what’s pertinent to its geographical location, New York City.
Gothamist has been online since 2002 and has grown from a two-person operation focusing on NYC to a much larger group with affiliate online communities focusing on local news in big […]
